FAQ

  • Must be 21 and over.
  • Must not be pregnant or nursing.
  • You may come to your appointment with your eyebrows drawn in and we can work on a shape together to give you the most flattering eyebrow.
  • Remember eyebrows are sisters and NOT twins. No face is completely symmetrical and we will do our best to balance your eyebrows according to your facial structure.
  • You may need a Dr's note if continuing medications. Non­ aspirin pain relievers are acceptable.
  • Best to avoid procedure before your menses ,which may cause you to be more sensitive.
  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine 24 hours before procedure.
  • Wax, tweeze, or thread eyebrows 48 hours before procedure.
  • If you have Botox or other fillers, you must wait 24 hours  after to get this procedure.
  • Retin ­A or retinol products must be avoided in the brow area for at least 2 weeks before eyebrow feathering. 
  • No tanning or sunburns. You will have to wait till your skin is healed before the procedure or you will risk losing pigment.
  • A patch test is recommended before the procedure to see if you are allergic. If you wish to waive the patch test, you will need to sign a consent form.
  • Avoid using lash growth serums for a week before and after eyeliner procedures.
  • No swimming until the area is healed. Then use a barrier cream after healed. 
  • Apply after care ointment with a clean cotton swab or clean hands EVERY single time.
  • Stay out of the sun and use a hat and sunscreen.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise that will cause you to sweat.
  • Your eyebrows will appear darker for the next 3-­4 days. Once it starts to heal and scab over, your eyebrows will be much softer and natural.
  • Some areas will fade a little or a lot, and this will be addressed at the touch up appointment. Pigment can fade anywhere from 10­-50%. 
  • Follow up appointment should be made 6-­8 weeks after initial procedure. Please make sure you have this appointment before you leave. Some clients may require a second retouch. There will be a tray set up fee for additional retouches.
  • For clients with oily skin, this procedure does NOT retain well. Your sebaceous glands will fade the strokes and the look of the brow is a more powdered look.
  • Eventually ALL eyebrow strokes will tend to look more powdered. With the turning over of constant skin cells, sun and water exposure, facial washing, smoking, peels, and product use, your permanent makeup will need a touch up. A boost is recommended every 1­-2 years.
  • Look for signs of infection. This may include excessive redness, swelling, tenderness of the procedure site, high temperature, rash, or drainage from the area. Please seek medical attention immediately. Some redness and tenderness is normal.
  • No Previous Tattoo Work, unless completely faded and approved by Skin Beautique.
